As the name implies, I’m a gal from Germany! I’ve lived in the United States most of my adult life but have never forgotten my heritage. I feel I bring a certain perspective to things. Some obvious, some common sense, but some you may not think about. And lucky for you, I’m not one to shy away from telling it the way it is.
One truth is that you need to take care of yourself. I see so many parents revolve around their kids that they forget about themselves, their spouse, their own health. Germans love their kids as much as the next person, but we are also practical people and strike that much better balance to enjoy life.
So I hope I can convey some of the life lessons I’ve gone through so you don’t have to learn the hard way. Let me also share how I have a new appreciation for food and a healthy lifestyle. I will attempt to share many traditional ethnic recipes but in all cases I will revamp them if needed to fall into a healthier lifestyle without sacrificing the experience.
So sit back, grab a shot (or Shotski as Hofbräu Haus in Cincinnati has butchered the tradition) of Jägermeister and lets find a way to make life a bit easier if not more enjoyable.
