This is my variation on the traditional German ham salad (Swiss style). I don’t like to use the mayo and other unnecessary products that I see used to intice the American audience. I feel you can take this recipe real close to its roots and still satisfy the general American palate.
Directions
- Step 1 Bologna, pickles and cheese – cut in stripes / Onions – dice – combine all ingredients
- Step 2 Dressing: combine vinegar, oil, salt, pepper, oregano and pickle juice and pour over bologna mixture
- Step 3 let it sit for 30 minutes before serving – the longer it sit the better
